Point-of-Care Ultrasound
University of Toronto
Independent Practitioner (IP) status is granted by the Canadian Emergency Ultrasound Society (CEUS). The requirements for achieving this status include:
- Completion of an introductory ultrasound course
- Completion of 50 monitored scans of each area (heart, aorta, abdomen, pelvis)
- Completion of the CEUS examination (written, oral, practical)
